Heb 6:4-6
“For it is impossible for those who
were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made
partakers of the Holy Ghost,
“And have tasted the good word of
God, and the powers of the world to come,
“If they shall fall away, to renew
them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God
afresh, and put him to an open shame.”KJV
This
is a serious matter. The passage above may seem scary, but we must take cognizance
its realities and premises. Many believers today know of the Grace of GOD the
creator, which abounds to all, but do not really understand its terms. Grace is
what enables us to be saved (Acts 15:11) and the requirement to live righteously
(Rom 5:20), and not a justification to continue in sin. Heb 6:1-2 says “Well then, should we keep on sinning so
that GOD can show us more and more of HIS wonderful grace? Of course not! Since
we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?” JESUS the CHRIST
himself has already told us what will happen in the future, because HE is the
Future. HE said “Many will say to me in
that day, Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done
many wonderful works?
“And
then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work
iniquity.” Matt 7:22-23
In case you are still complacent, meditate on these
sayings and be wise.
